Top 7 Documents & Certifications to Have in Your Reservist Profile with Krucial Rapid Response

You always hear Krucial telling you to have a fully complete and up-to-date Reservist profile, but you may not know what documents and certifications are needed to be considered “complete”. Below is a list of documents and certifications that would be beneficial to have uploaded to your profile. But, let’s first start with the basics – a Reservist profile.
Anyone can become a Reservist with Krucial. We have many Reservists who are in the medical field, teachers, admin workers, emergency response, and so much more. Becoming a Reservist with Krucial allows us to have all these important documents as well as contact information on file to make the process much smoother when applying or calling in for a position with Krucial. If you ever need assistance with updating your Reservist profile, then please call our customer service line at 888-222-6359.
1. FEMA Courses
We ask all of our Krucial Reservists to have FEMA 100, 200, and 700 completed and uploaded into their Reservist profile. These are required to have if you plan to travel for emergency response with Krucial. Once you have completed the course then you will receive an email with your certification. Please email your certification to credentials@krucialstaffing.com. If you have already completed the course AND they have been uploaded to your Reservist profile, then you are on track to having a complete Reservist profile. Remember: Your FEMA certifications do NOT expire!
- FEMA 100 – Introduction to the Incident Command System, ICS 100
- According to FEMA, “ICS 100, Introduction to the Incident Command System, introduces the Incident Command System (ICS) and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training. This course describes the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of the Incident Command System. It also explains the relationship between ICS and the National Incident Management System (NIMS). The Emergency Management Institute developed its ICS courses collaboratively with:
- National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG)
- U.S. Department of Agriculture
- United States Fire Administration’s National Fire Programs Branch
- FEMA 200 – Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response
- As stated by the FEMA, “IS200, Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response, reviews the Incident Command System (ICS), provides the context for ICS within initial response and supports higher level ICS training. This course provides training on, and resources for, personnel who are likely to assume a supervisory position within ICS.
- The Emergency Management Institute developed its ICS courses collaboratively with:
- National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG)
- U.S. Department of Agriculture
- United State Fire Administration’s National Fire Programs Branch
Note: IS-200.c is an updated version of the IS-200 course. If you have successfully completed IS-200.b or IS-200.a, you may want to review the new version of the course. For credentialing purposes, the courses are equivalent.”
- FEMA 700 – An Introduction to the National Incident Management System
- According to FEMA, “this course provides an overview of the National Incident Management System (NIMS). The National Incident Management System defines the comprehensive approach guiding the whole community – all levels of government, nongovernmental organizations (NGO), and the private sector – to work together seamlessly to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from the effects of incidents. The course provides learners with a basic understanding of NIMS concepts, principles, and components.”
2. ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
ACLS is required for any Emergency room registered nurses (ER RN) and Intensive care unit registered nurses (ICU RN). According to American Heart Association, the ACLS course is “for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response” It is NOT required for you to obtain your ACLS through American Heart Association nor is it limited to just ER and ICU RNs. Anyone is welcome to apply for the ACLS course which we highly encourage our Krew to continue to learn and grow. Please read all the requirements for every position Krucial has available as it may be required for all medical personnel to have their ACLS certification.
3. BLS – Basic Life Support / CPR Certified
Having your BLS is essential for almost all medical professionals and those in the helping field. Please make sure you are always refreshed on this life saving skill as a BLS expires two years after the date of certification. American Red Cross states that “Whether you are a healthcare provider, are in school to become a nurse or physician, police officer, or firefighter, when you get BLS certified you can show your employer that you have the training you need to improve patient outcomes.”
